Welcome to the impalafarmer's truck page. This is Kermit, a 1993 S-10 Blazer Tahoe belonging to my wife & I. We purchased Him for $3500 at about 130k miles, we are His second owners.

'Ol Kermy isn't actually all that dragged-down by that 85 Caprice Classic Sport Coupe, I had the trailer set wrong. This truck is equipped with the 4.3 Vortec V6, 700R4 trans and pushbutton 4WD. In fact, the only thing He doesn't have, for some strange reason, is the compass/thermometer in the overhead console, though the console is there. Not long after the pic above was taken, this happened;

Since litigation is still pending over this, I can't say much yet. I will risk saying that I was at a complete stop, with my left turn signal on, with my wife & infant daughter in the truck. A 92 Ford Crown Victoria rearended us doing at least 40 MPH. As you can see, the tow receiver took most of the hit, bending the right side frame rail and saving our lives. This truck took a hit. It was repaired about a month later. Doesn't seem to be any lasting damage, although I can't fill the gas tank all the way any more as it leaks at the top. The truck has also had little quirks since the hit, like the driver's side rear window doesn't work now, and the front passenger window is intermittent. We also had to have the 4WD repaired afterwards, it wouldn't engage. Just before the accident it worked fine.Impalafarmer's 1993 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer

nice blazer. mines got the overhead console as well, but no compass or temp gauge as well. weird. and mine's a 94. anyway, this servo, its a disk in the automatic trans. of the blazers, im not sure if 700r trannys have them, but 4l60e's do. anyway, it just makes your 1st to 2nd shift more firm. for more info, check out www.s-series.org in the How-To section. Theres the article how to install it and about it.
