SMOKEYcaprice's 1986 Chevrolet Camaro

1986 IROC-Z CAMARO
350,T-TOPS,5 SPEED,BLUE WITH GRAY INTERIOR, JVC HEAD UNIT, JL AUDIO SUBS, UNDER CONSTRUCTION, ITS NOT THE FASTEST THING IN THE WORLD, BUT IT HAS PLENTY OF POWER,AND COMPARE TO WHAT MOST 17 YEAR OLDS HAVE, and by july, it should have headers, aluminum heads and dual flowmasters, and that should help the horsepower.

future plans for the iroc,
- the go fast -

- crate motor 5.7 L 350 ( w/ 6 bolt main, like the ls6 )
- polyurethane motor mounts
- aluminum heads
- shorty headers
- aluminum heads ( Ls6 style )
- roller rockers
- mild cam
- double roller timing chain
- slp runners
- aluminum edelbrock intake
- get a high tolerence drive shaft
- high strength, thicker flywheel
- centerforce clutch
- b&m short throw shifter
- msd ignition
- 4 bbl 650 cfm carb
- or get the tpi kit, and bigger injectors, throttle body, and all that good stuff,
- steel crank shaft
- billet aluminum pulleys
- billet brackets
- braded steel hoses
- be cool aluminum radiator
- cold air induction system ( have 2 air inlets under the front ground effect to feed air to the motor )
- either turbo charge or get a N.O.S setup
- moroso oil pan
- high volume oil pump
- high flow water pump
- high flow fuel pump
- dual electric fans
- aluminum tranny cooler
- get a 5 speed tranny professionally built
- 3 inch true dual exhaust, ( with no crimps in the exhaust )
- no catlatyic converters
- posi disk brake rear end w/ 373`s
- by the time im done with the motor i want it to have like a 9 grand redline, so the car will keep pulling hard and put you back in the seat all the way through the gears, and not start to die around 90 mph like most cars.

- drilled and slotted rotors, about 13``

- lighten the car up -

- get fiberglass hood, door skins, fenders and lexan windows and t-top glass,
- a/c delete
- frame connectors
- frame brace`s
- under the hood get the support bar ( that connects to each fender )

- get as much braces and support as possible, so when i launch the car i will not be wasteing power ( it takes energy to twist the frame, and that is energy/power that could be going to the rear wheels insted of twisting the car )

- suspension -

- re build the quick ratio steering -
- Spohn LCA relocation brackets
- Eibach Sport-Line springs
- Energy sway bar endlinks, front and back
- KYB GR2 shocks
- KYB GR2 struts
- lower the car so it will handle better
- make my own traction bars ( so there is no wheel hop and no wasted energy/power )

- EXTERIOR -

paint
- color ? havent decided yet, maby colbolt blue ? or black ?
- ? color with about 7 coats of clear ( to make the paint look really deep, spray the paint on light so all the metallics are at the top of the paint ) get as much clear as i can without the paint checking or cracking,
- the color will probably be like a colbolt blue metallic, with lots of bright pigment and tints, so parked next to another blue car mine will look better and have more depth and more shine to it,
- gun met gray iroc decals, or get crome ones made
- lowered iroc
- crome 18`s Oasis iroc replica rims, 18 x 8.5``
- Pirelli PZero 245/40/18ZR radials (front)
- Pirelli PZero 255/40/18ZR radials (rear
- hawks design 5`` rear spoiler
- real dark tinted windows
- clear side marker lights
- custom made, all clear tail lights
- clear 3rd brake light ( if i don`t rip it off )
- head lights wired so they all 4 come on at the same time
- line up all the ground effects, and panals so they are all semetrical and the same, ( there are soooo many iroc camaros with the gaps and ground f/x not lined up, and it makes the whole car look ugly ) ( just by the way everything is lined up it will change the whole shape/look of the car )

- INTERIOR -
- custom black leather interior, with blue inserts in the seats
-black leather door panals, with blue leather inserts ( or red ? ) and carbon fiber vinyl on the arm rest
- top of the line radar detector
- white face 145 mph speedo,tach and a/c controls
- leather wraped a piller pod with 3 gauges,
- have the whole back, behind the rear seat customized,( amps, neons, all that good stuff )
- custom made overhead consol,
- flip up 7`` screen from under the dash
- get custom made gauges ( like the new gto`s and colbolts have, so they are lit up real bright )
- blue neons under the dash,
- when you open the hood, i want it to say IROC - Z real big in crome or silver,
- 5.7 L IROC badges,
