this is my audi 5000s quattro. car has about 148 k miles, runs strong and is very reliable.
here are some pictures of the my beautifull engine. its a 2.3 litre 5 cyl. its over head cam and the stock estemated power is about 130 HP. i recently added a performance module which gives more precise timing and a stronger signal. i havent tested yet but it probably added about 30-50 hp. it was much needed for this 3300 lb car.
the interior is especially nice in this car. it has leather on the dash, doors, and steering wheel.
120 mph speedo, and 8000 rpm tach. engine redlines at 6300 rpm, cuts out at 6750.
what happens to cars in the country...
slid into a ditch on friday the 13th (how bout that hu?) but with AWD and center and rear diff locks was able to get out without too much effort.
I rear ended some chick in a durango.. i went under it and smashed the left front side of my car, completely missed the bumper (it woulda been a great excuse to finally replace it)
its nothin much, but its more to fix...
i finally went to a neerby salvage yard and picked up a few parts, including two front quarter panels.
taking it apart wasnt very hard as well as putting it back on. it took me a whole days time to do though. car looks very good and is ready for a new coat of paint
this is a little what it looked like.
recently, the headliner started saggin in the back. after a little work it was back up... but didnt stay up. so i took the whole headboard off and am completely replacing the fabric. first i had to take the front seats out wich wasnt very hard...
i used this as a great picture opurtunity.
i suggest if you do this yourself to put a tarp down or somthin... that orange stuff gets in spots i didnt even know existed! took a few steam cleaning jobs to get it out of all the carpet.
Recently installed a new hydrolic pump that was leaking. and also put an A/C pump. the old one seized to work. literally. but anyways ive been working on the headliner a bit and am trying to get a new windsheild....
car gets a good 25 city, 33 highway. its been better since i installed a "juice box" chip deal in it witch actually gave me around 20 more horses... its a convenient deal!
but as time goes, i am sorry to announce that i bought another car and may not be driving the auid. im selling it to a trusty friend (i wouldnt sell if i didnt trust or know the person) and if he ever sells it i told him to call me FIRST!!! and ASAP... sorry, just wanted to say that.
but anyways the new car is a 98 contour SE which ive put on another page here on cardomain....
