I was/am a career Army soldier and now DoD contractor currently (FEB 2006) on my 5th trip to Iraq, third time in Baghdad. I consider myself a Patriot and wanted to build a car that reflected my personality, personal history and sacrifies that my family and I have made to our country over the years. Now, I could have put a big flaming eagle on the hood or covered the whole thing in a big American flag, but understatements reflect the "quiet professional" that I am. So, I designed a mild red, white and blue scheme with metal flake throughout. I thought the ghost stars on the 2" cowl hood and the tattered red and white ribbon down the side would do the trick.
As you can see the door handles, gas filler and side chrome trim has been removed and smoothed for that minimalistic custom look. The front fenders maintain the only badging on the exterior of the car. It was airbrushed under the clear and gives the public a gentle indicator of what is on the inside but upon closer inspection that isn't the half of it!
