I aquired this car used in 1998 from a Chevy Dealer who thought it was an ordinary daytona. They had no idea what an IROC R/T was...lucky for me. It was bone stock. For who aren't familiar with the IROC R/T, there were only 250 built in 1992 and another 181 in 1993 plus a few pilot builds. The short block is the Chrysler 2.2L Turbo Common Block with Forged Rods/Crank. The cylinder head is a 16V piece made by Lotus which in stock form gave the 2.2L 224hp and 217lb-ft of torque. Prior to the major modifications, with only a 2.5" exhaust upgrade and increased boost i had it dyno'd at 204 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.

In 2001, i purchased another daily driver and this R/T has not seen a winter since.

Car was completely stripped down and repainted base-clear in 2004. New OEM decals and Emblems were re-installed. The clear coat was stripped off the rims and they were polished.

Brought the car to Milan Dragway in June of 2007 and made one good pass on street tires w/ a 2.2 60' ran 13.70 @ 105mph. Put it up on a chassis dyno and made 325whp on 15psi boost only to 5200RPM - had to back out to not overspeed the dyno !? (per the operator). Need to make another dyno run at 18psi and to red line to see what this thing really has...

Been working on a custom 3-bar calibration which is still in progress to eventually get to 20psi.

Car has 102,400 on the odometer now but the engine has less than 5000 of usage in the past 7 years, mostly weekend cruising in the summer with one trip to the track and dyno this past year.

Here's an interior shot, the gauges include an electric fuel pressure gauge and 30psi boost gauge.

This car was sold at the beginning of June 2008 after almost 10 years. The lucky person was from the Pittsburgh area.
