My other Firebirds:

This was my first Firebird, a 1976 Firebird Esprit. The car originally came from the factory with a 250 I6 and Borg-Warner 3-speed manual tranny. I got this car from my step-dad who rebuilt it from the ground up. Most of the interior had been restored and as you can see, the body was being prepped to recieve paint. I miss this car. It had a lot of character.

This is the first Firebird that I ever bought, a 1983 Trans AM. I bought it shortly after I got stationed in North Carolina. This car was extremely clean and had 83K on the ticker when I bought it in 1995. I was the second owner of the car and it looked like it rolled off the showroom floor when I bought it. This car had every option available in 1983 including factory four-wheel disc brakes. Unfortunately I was run off the road and totalled the car. :( I purchased a second 1983 Trans AM that was identical to this one but had t-tops. I didn't own that car very long because I couldn't get it running right after transferring the motor out of the wrecked one into the second one. I sold the two cars as a pair because bewteen the two...there was one complete car.

This was the first "brand" new car I ever bought, a 2000 Firebird with a 3.8L and 5-speed manual tranny. I loved to drive this car and conditioned it from the get go. For a six, it was pretty impressive. I can only imagine what fun modifications I could have done had I kept this car.

This is the last Firebird I owned prior to Vader, a 1981 Firebird with a 3.8L and 3-speed automatic. This car wasn't very fast considering the sluggishness of the older model 3.8L. I did some modifications to it to help it along though. I added an Edelbrock Perfomer intake and 600cfm four-barrel carb to it. That helped a little, but not a lot. I would have held onto this one, but despite the nickname I gave her, Pheonix, she wasn't rising from the ashes. This car originally came from the North and was rotted pretty badly underneath. It ended up being much more of a project than I wanted to take on considering the entire underside and most of the major body panels needed replacing from the body cancer that had set in. ______________________________________________________________________________________________
