My 1981 Cadillac El Dorado

One of my clients bought this Cadi for his wife in 1981. He died in 1994 and the car was parked in the carport until I bought it in 2001. By then all the rubber seals, side body fillers, all weather stiping, window sliders, etc., basically all plastic / rubber parts had disintergrated.
To restore this vehicle to its original specs, looks and performance has been a real challenge. My wife tells me "Why do you want to spend so much money on this thing? Just go buy a new one!" My response: "Most anyone can go buy a new one!" This year model with its V-8-6-4 engine was produced by Cadillac only that year, 1981. To find one of these 1981 Eldo's that looks like this, runs like this one, is impossible. Drives like a dream. When driving this auto down the street, heads turn. Cadi is about 80% restored. Want to keep it original. Even the 8trak player is restore. Parts are hard to find that are new or near new condition. I have worked on this vehicle inside and out and from bumper to bumper. Nothing easy about it.
