Ok, so going to make a really long story into a kind of short story. So after looking online for a deal on a turbo car I found this one. After going all the way to Rhode Island to pick it up it turned from what I was told a 3 hour project to get it up and running to about a year and a half of bs to get up and running. There have been a couple times I have just wanted to sell it but a couple of times say that Im going to make this car my V8 Killer. But right now the car just sit's in my yard waiting for the extra $$$ to fix it.

So this pic is of the car a week after I got it, my buddy's made a day of working on it to find it was a nightmare, but they were up for the challange, I snapped this pic mid break.

And after a year of sitting and quotes of $2,000 or more to fix I got the job done in 3 months and at a cost of only $500 + parts. I snapped the pic after we got the engine finished.

So it took a year and 4 months to get the car running but it was a pain and lots of $$$. We had to completly take the engine out, new front brakes, ti-rod ends, Sway bar endlinks, and misc parts I didnt know were missing. But the engine was stripped to the bare block, cleaned and put back together with new seals. I was going to replace the turbo but it spins like brand new.

My intentions at this point are new tires/rims, a paint job and body work, body kit, Full 3 inch exhaust, new turbo (Evo 3 Big 16G), FMIC, and maybe new cams. As of now the car runs but $$ is limited so it sits untill it gets tires/rims, and a good once over. Car is still in the early stages of anything yet.

Mods: Buscher Racing 2 1/2 exhaust, Hallman MBC, Apexi SAFC, Blitz Turbo timer.

I will get updates when the car does so bear with me,
Thanks

*****UPDATE*************

BIG News. Im selling my shell, I came across a 92 Talon TSI in much better shape - an engine and tranny which I will be swapping my engine and transmission into. Sad that I spent all the time and money to let it go but I got a steal on this one.

Specs on the new ride. 92 Talon TSI 6 bolt engine with 4 bolt rear end. Bushur Racing full 3'turbo back exhaust, Walboro 255 Fuel Pump, short throw shifter, KYB2 Struts and shocks all around. I will have shots of the car next week when I pick it up, and will also take shots of the car when I rip the engine and swap it out.

*****New for 2007: So the old Eclipse took a ride to the junk yard and the Talon ran good for about 4 months before I decided to take it to the track. I got 2 good runs, she pulled like a raped ape before blowing the head gasket. Now I have to tear the head appart and rebuild it. I will have more of that this spring. She pulled best 13.8 at 99.9 MPH with no tune.

Hey man, I am very impressed... I know it took a lot of time and frusteration to get that thing up and running. I'm sure at times it was just a flat out pain in the ass! But look what you've got to show for it... I wonderful factory turbo car for at a great price. Not to mention the true satisfaction you get from building the car yourself! You also received a 5 star rating from me just because of the simple fact that you showed some brains in choosing a DSM for your project! the 4g63t is lengendary! Enjoy that 6 bolt beast...
