Latest Update (October 2010):

Well its been 2 years since the shop was built, and 3 years since I worked on this project.  But I have finally got back to it.  Question will be how long will I get to work on it this time around before life gets back in the way again.  Check out page 5 for the latest progress.

Lastest Update (October 2008):
Well it has been about 12 months since I have had the will to want to work on this project, too many other things going on in life, and my garage looks like world war III in there.   So I finally built a 3300 sq. ft. shop which just got completed.   So I will be moving the truck there this winter and start to work on it again. So I look forward to getting back to working on the project so I can get it on the street once and for all.

A Little History:
Well this all started out with me looking to build an Ultima GTR. While investigating this automobile, I ran across a company named Brammo Motorsports. I found out they where looking at designing a new V8 super car where you could place a motor of your choosing into the car. I and several other interested parties worked with their designer giving feedback on concept drawings of the car. They are soon to release the car, called the Ronin GT. Due to various reasons the project was placed on hold.

So there I sat with a motor capable of 800-900HP and no place for it to go, so had to find somewhere to put the motor (See Page 3 ). So I have decided to build a Pro-Street Truck. Being that I always liked the mid 1960's Chevy trucks that is where it is going.

The Project:
The truck has been chopped 2", tailgate has been filled and smoothed, roll pan added, door handles and rain gutters have been shaved. Frame has been re-worked for the massive 22" rear tires, and 9" Ford rear end with custom stainless ladder bars and pan hard bar. Front end has been boxed and all suspension has been updated to custom stainless tubular upper and lower A-Arms with coil overs, and rack-and-pinion steering. Wing windows have been removed, and will be replaced with one piece glass. Dash has been smoothed, all controls, glove box, etc. have been removed and plated over. Body has been lowerd on the frame.

Next phases:
- Sucide the doors
- Weld over the rear tail lights, and install flush mount lights
- Weld over the front hood turn signals and install flush mount turn signals
- Rounding the top corners of the doors and filling the door frame to match
- Build a custom floor for the cab
- Build a custom center console with subs
- Build a custom cover with hyd that operate the cover, and plasma attached to the cover
- Body work the chop job
- Tub the rear tire wells
- Install custom steering column

Things to decide:
- How to build the inner fender wells, may need to raise the ride height or body a little because the top of the tires are now slightly above the top of the fender
- What brake pedal arangement to use, either under the floor, or the newer under the dash side mounted with remote filler solution
- What brakes and rotors to use, lots of choices here
- What speakers, subs, amps, head end
- Interior (seats, door panels, headliner, etc.)
- Paint (this is going to take a while :)
