CONDITION

Exterior
From a distance, the finish looks nearly new with good shine. Body panels are tight and aligned. Closer up, a moderate amount of light scratches are visible, along with several deep ones that have been filled and touched up. There are some parking lot dings in the doors, and the plastic bumpers show significant gouges and scuffing. There is one very small area of sheet metal damage where a wheel well edge grazed a hydrant.

Interior
Carpets and leather show light-to-average wear, and are clean and with no tears or damage. Panels fit tight and have no squeaks or rattles. Vinyl inserts on three of the inner door panels have begun to delaminate (a problem with nearly all Volvos of this generation), but all edges are still retained. The car smells leathery and smoke-free.

Electrical and mechanical
All systems are functional, down to indicators and switches. The car starts easily, runs very smoothly, and accelerates with plenty of reserve power. High-speed ride is strong with straight tracking and solid feel. There are no apparent leaks, rattles, shorts, or unusual indications for concern from my service shop. The car appears to have a typical amount of mechanical wear for a 70K mile Volvo.
