Vehicle is 99% rust free and original (amazing for a 34 year old Italian girl). She has 66,000 miles and appears to have been always stored indooors from it's condition and has had from what I can tell one repaint (not a great one but presentable, a "5 footer" in the original color).

Pretty fast considering the 56hp 903cc motor.

Still wears it's original factory set of Cromodora wheels, including the spare. I have the original tool set, jack, tire iron, oil fill funnel, etc.

The interior is period and original.

I have owned several Fiats but not an 850 before this, Spider, Coupe, or Racer. So far it's a really cool and fun car that is rare and gets lots of attention, might even vintage race her. You really get a sense of late 60's to early 70's driving in this car, it's like being in an old "Avengers" episode or something. The looks remind my wife and I of a Lotus Elan, Opel GT, and Porsche 914 kind of rolled together. Any other 850 Racer owners out there?

Well it is now April and I want to start a new project so the Racer may sadly be put up for sale soon to make room. If anyone is looking for one, this is likely one of the best examples out there.

I have a 1970 Fiat 850 Racer and it was actually raced. It has a racing head with dual carburetors and actually put out 79hp. The previous owner raced it hard and flattened the cam. I got two other engines and have a new cam to put in. I also have a 1969 Fiat 850 Spider that I plan to make into an electric car. The spider's parts will be saved for the Racer. You should save the Racer and not sell it... It will be worth lots of $$ some day. Think of the 40mpg also... Gas won't be down forever.
