(NOTICE: I no longer have the car. It was junked 8/2/06. I will probably leave this page up for a while as a memorial to a great car.)

The car you see here is a 1985 Ford LTD Country Squire station wagon. The car was bought new from Bethlehem - Motor Sales Inc. on July 10, 1985. The final purchase price was only $15,375.00 fully loaded.

HISTORY
This car was owned by the original owner until 1995. Which is when my father purchased it from him as a weekend utility car. My father then owned it from 1995 through 1998, when in March of 98 it shreaded the serpintine belt which broke the power steering pump, A/C compressor, and alternator. After the car did this he sold it to a person that he worked with. They then reparied all the items that broke when the belt snapped. They ran it for about 2 years when, they purchased a newer car. The LTD was then placed in a barn, where it remained for 5 years. Around the beginning of January we get a call from the person asking my dad if he wanted it back. He said he wasn't interested and offered me it, well I couldn't say no! So skip to May 20 when we pick up the car. Lets just say its a little dirty, and the best part is, is that were driving it home! and, let me be the first and hopefully not the last to say it, but Ford over-built these cars. the whole 10 mile trip home the car only stalled twice!(remember it still has the 5 year old oil and gas in it) Well after a surprisingly uneventful ride home it was parked in the backyard wating for me to wash it.

Too bad you couldnt keep the spririt alive on the wagon. I am also the proud owner of a 1985 Country Squire. It is quite enjoyable.
