I used a dremal to route the soft plastic to get rid of the stock bottom This is very easy to do

First I cut out the 1/4" MDF to fix the bottom door panel, then using the supplied speaker cutout temp-plate I cut out two holes in 1/4" MDF

While the glue was drying, I took the dremal to the metal door frame. One cutout was almost factory, I just had to enlarge it some. I also took the time to spray the inside of the door with sound deadening. P.S. Do not use a sawsall on a rusting door, lol.

The door panel ready to accept two 6.5" 3-ways to each door.

Speakers added

all done. Each speakers is getting 50 watts rms from a PPI 4-channel amp. Sounds great :) and looks like it could have come from the factory this way.

you need to get rid of those running boards that is what is causing the rust problem
