..............................................................................Rotary X-port # 7.............................................................................

The Blue 85' Rex has been through a bit of a transformation. The original 12a blew a apex seal at the dyno (108 hp)and that was after the PPG paint and 15 x 7 Panasport wheels w/ P205/50/15 BFGoodrich. So I bought one of the Japanese import 12a Turbo's off Ebay. It's controlled by a Mega Squirt stand alone computer. Thanks to Kenny H. for the tuning and patients. Progress page on Mazspeed site.

12A Turbo vs. V8 Super car
You've got to watch this!

Got some new interior goodies:
Autometer Boost Gauge and Oil Temp. Gauge
Sony WX-CS70 Dual deck Receiver w/ 6-disc Changer in glove box
Two JL Audio 8" woofer's in a custom box.
Two Pioneer 6x9's behind the seats w/ Carver Amp's underneath
White face gauges came from Ebay a while back.
Short throw shifter w/ 83' LE shift knob and leather boot.
Momo Race 350 mm steering wheel w/ Mazda emblem.
Just found a dead pedal.

Tried the intercooler route... It never ran right. I used a Saab intercooler and mounted it right up front but either the computer or the intercooler couldn't handle the bigger force generated by the freshly rebuilt turbo (91' T2 compressor wheel)

So I had to go back to what really worked before. Taking a Mustang GT on the interstate up to 140 mph and leaving him, is what it's all about.

Just got the new BF Goodrich G-Force KDW NT. Wild design and Z rated. No more..I almost lost it when I hit second.

I got the Racing Beat Street port Dual Exhaust to go easy on the ear's. The steering and suspension components have been updated with Energy Suspension Polyurethane bushings. Tokico blue struts and shocks where they way to go for me. Had to get a GSL rear end so I could have rear disc brakes. I found a good deal on X-Drilled and slotted rotors on Ebay. Racing Beat has the front and rear sway bars covered. The Walbro 255Lph pump supplies plenty of fuel. I just couldn't help putting some up-to-date Mazdaspeed emblems and tag on it.

This is Jim of "Jim Coman Performance" in Tallassee Al. saying Hi, before he installs my new engine.

After breaking three teeth off the original 3.93 (84-85) Ring Gear, it was time to upgrade to the heavier duty 3.90 (79-83) ratio Ring and Pinion w/ Redline Synthetic.

Thanks to my extended use of BG Quick Clean (oil additive) the oil seals started failing and this caused it to smoke. A complete tear down and rebuild was in $$ order. Of course I had a bit of porting done and a more substantial RB clutch and pressure plate installed. Now it time to remap the fuel computer!

This is the X-wife's car. I sold it to a guy that put it straight into a garage. It was a 85' GSL w/ rear fold down seat.

Who doesn't love this girl.
