Fiberglass boot made to house the filter. No more hot air taken in from the engine bay!!

Ive given the rear quarter panel a base coat of red paint feathered into the existing paint. The panel needs to be sanded and given a shot of clear. Ill do that this spring when it warms up.

The only downside to this mod:
When the second set of lobes are activated and the valves are screaming... So is the car. The fiberglass boot now acts as a megaphone for the screaming valves. ITS LOUD... EAR PIERCING LOUD. Im thinking of removing the filter and spraying undercoating in the fiberglass boot to help with deadening the sound.

The car has been sitting for about a month now. We had an extremely warm fall. But, winter is upon us and the MR2 will be sitting for awhile.

I have a few other projects planned for her. If all goes as planned they will be unvieled this spring and summer.

UPDATED 11-6-08

These pics were taken in September, but vent was completed back in March or April.  Im a bit behind on the update.
