- mach5audio MLI 6.5 mids
- alpine type s 6.5 (rear fill)
- stinger, 2 runs of 4 ga. for ground and power
- 10 ga. wire for the rL-p
- US Amps MD21 (for front stage)
- Crossfire BMF1000D (sub amp)
- sound splinter RL-p 15 d2

weighing in at 35 pounds is the Sound splinter RL-P 15 d2!!
most excellent build quality and craftsmanship.
check them out at soundsplinter.com!

just got my MLI-6.5 mids from mach5 audio!
they are replacing the mmats mids for now until i do the 3 way.

using the mmats x/o for now at 3400hz. used some acoustical foam and deadening to help with mid bass and to prevent any cancellation or standing waves and resonance with the sheet metal. about 5 layers and just a base off of which the real deadening will come later.

MLI vs mmats

crossfire BMF 1000D
(1 ohm @ 60 Hz to 1% THD+N): 1233 watts @ 14 volts, 1013 watts @ 12.8 volts, 759 watts @ 10.5 volts

and US AMPS MD21 75x2@4, 100x2@2, 200x1@4 THD: 0.03%

this is the 3^FT sealed box (after disp.) construction

no glass tables were harmed in the making of this box!
double baffle ftw

fits nicely under the black thingy, no prying eyes!

amp rack

amps mounted and beefed up the electrical with 2 runs of 4 ga. for batt. ground and 2 runs of 4 ga. power wire to the back. no more voltage drops thats for sure. a healthy steady around 14v's with car on and full tilt.

3.0 sealed box.

red suede for the amp racks

4 cubes tuned at 30hz with 55.5 square inches of port area.
box will be sanded down and stained later.
THANKS to brian for the wood and helping out!

i went with 2 coats of golden oak stain on the top and 1 on the front and sides. then 4 coats of polyurethane gloss. i should of sanded in between all the coats but i did sand before the last one. turned out better than i thought it would, not bad.

im planning on replacing the amp racks with stained wood to match since now the red sued does not, should look dope.
