1967 Plymouth Fury II

!THE HOGG!

CBCR1's 1967 Plymouth Fury

Hello all my car crazy friends. Please sign my guess book.  This is the second project from Country Boy Classics. We are looking forward to doing this one. It is a 1967 Plymouth Fury II I brought when I was 15 years old. I have had the car ever since. When I brought it, I had no clue of what I had. I brought the car from the original owner who was to old to drive anymore. Car was is EXCELLENT shape besides the interior. The interior was shot!

When I purchased it, I put air shocks on the rear, new water pump, drive shaft, all new filters, fuel pump, fresh pearl white with blue pearl paint, and tires and rims. Car looked totally white during certain parts of the day and blue and cream during others. Car was riding on a fresh set of Dayton and Vogue tires I sold when I moved to go to college in fear of someone trying to steal the car.

One weekend when I was traveling from my hometown of Louisville, Georgia to Atlanta, (a 2 hour and 30 min. ride which I had taken PLENTY of times before) the rear axle decided it had enough and the rear passenger tire wanted to go faster then the rest of the car. So fast, it past us and left us for about a good mile. Well, I left the car on the side of the road and it was towed to a junkyard. I found the car about 2-3 months later and purchased it back from the junkyard. The junkyard had fixed the axle and was getting ready to sell the car. I purchased the car from them for about $600 and drove it home with no problem. Once I got the car back to Atlanta, the transmission decided it had enough and stop shifting. I had to drive the car is low gear on I-285 during the middle of the day. I got the car home, garaged it, and thats where it's been ever since. This was in 2003. I still drive the car out the garage and wash and let if run for a while. Now, its time to get it back to what is should be.

The car is getting the motor rebuilt with a few modifications like a Edlebrock Intake and Carb, new pistons, gaskets, cam, and oil pan and pump and possibly a blower. Along with fuel and water pump and all new filters, spark plugs and wires.

This is the car in it's "NOW" stage. Keep your eyes on this one. It will be a sight to see.....

Nice work on your Fury. I got one about a year ago and it's been fun. I also started a CarDomain group maybe us C-body guys can unite.
