This is a 1969 Mercedes Benz 300SE 3.5
It's a W112, and it's a limited edition, of only 100 models produced worldwide. The models made in W111 which are the 280SE 3.5, have the V8 3.5 liter engine, but are "280" and not "300". And the "300's" you find are W112 but are not V8 3.5 liter, but an inline 6. This are the specs:
- This car has an original V8 engine with 3.5 liters of displacement, 16 valve, and mechanical fuel inyection.
- An automatic 4 speed gearbox.
- Independent sportline suspension (Original)
- 4 wheel disc.
- Sunroof
- "Intra" 14 inch wheels (6.5) made in West Germany
- Goodyear Eagle LS tires (235/60)
- Nardi Steering Wheel
- Red exterior with Beish interior.
To briefly explain why it's a "CL-Class", is because Mercedes Benz, changed their designations into classes, as you all know, SL, CLK, SLK, S, M, C, etc,. In that time you had first, the number, and then the class, you had in 1969 the famouse 280SL (Pagoda), and this one is the 300SE (Super Einszprizter). It was the coupe version of the 220, 250, and 280SE (W108), and even of the 300SEL 6.3 (W109). So today, the coupe version of the "S-Class" is the "CL-Class". So the 300SE 3.5, is a CL.
