"I bought me an old school, and blew out the brains..."

This is my 1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais. I came across this car sitting in someones backyard falling to peices. I felt bad for the old thing, and took it on myself to give it a home, and bring it back to life. Its just getting started, but its coming along great. The car features the Olds 307 motor.

The motor finally runs great. I had a few issues with overheating early, but got it all under control now.

The owner sweared up and down it was never in an accident, but it clearly was. there were multiple dents up and down the passenger side of it, and the bumper was cracked. I took off the original blue bumper, and replaced it with this one off of a black 83 calais.
The exterior of the car is currently being sanded, primed, and readied for paint. The interior however has for the most part been reconstructed. I stripped the whole car down to nothing but a metal floorpan, and rebuilt it to my likings. New factory carpet came first, then all the interior plastics, which at the time were a dingy looking sun faded blue were all sprayed with House Of Kolors: Orion Silver paint, and coated with a metal flake in the clear.

The headliner, door panels, and center console are all custom fabrics I did myself. Its a sorda blue fur, I guess would be the best I can describe it.

Just to get things sounding good, I also already installed my own system: Kenwood Head unit, rear Performance Teknique speakers, front Kicker 3-ways, 2 Kicker SL5-8 subs, powered by an Audiobahn 800x1 amp.
