The Paint Process
One of the last times the car was on the road - I was at at an scca event at dte energy music theatre.

The car was then taken apart.

Ops, broke the 1/4 window.

The car was sanded all the way down to the plastic, metal, and fiberglass gel coating.

The bondo was applied to the car.

The bondo was sanded, then re applied, then sanded, and re applied etc... many times until the panles were straight.

I did an amazing job here where the lock was shaved, you would never know bondo was there by looking!!

Self etching primer was applied here and bondo was then applied and sanded as a makeshift rust fix.

Furnace filters were used for dust free ventialtion.

The car was sprayed with 2 coats of high build urethane primer.

A black guide coat was sprayed over the primer.

The guide coat was sanded off, making a smooth flat surface, using a sanding block and 220 grit paper. You can see where i broke through and metal is showing on the door bacause the panel was not perfectly straight.

The car was primed again with 3 coats of high build primer.

The car was sprayed again with a black guide coat.
The car was pulled into the garage after the final block sanding with 320 grit:

The car was then taped up and shot with 1 coat urethane sealer, then 2 coats of base, then 2 coats of clear:

The body kit and spoiler were painted seprately.
