Found the old girl in the local classifieds. It ran for a couple weeks before I called. I've got the bad habit like other Mopar guys have having too many cars. So before I called I told myself if it doesnt have the big block engine or buckets seats with a console and no Air conditioning(too much clutter on engine and in the road for working on it in my opion) and has to be Red or Blue in color or I'm not evan going to go look at it. Well it was all that. I went to look at it the next day after work and took my buddy along for the trip. Heck when I was driving along looking for the house number I saw it from the street between the houses on the driveway and would have bought it from there! Of course I had to play the shrewed buyer once I walked up to it and haggle the price a little, knowing in my head it was a must have anyhow. It is the orignal paint with some wear and scratches but still shines pretty well. With 60000 miles on it was in real great mechanical condition. I've rebuilt the thermoquad, added new Chrysler orange supression wires, champion plugs and installed Mopar electronic igntion. Added those late model 15x7cop wheels with new 1970 center caps and trim rings. Out back I added 6 leaf new springs and bushings. Inside I had to redye the plastic with Dupont vinyl/plastic paint because of sun fading. Added a Grant steering wheel and a Clarion cd player with 6x9 Sony 4 way speakers. She runs and drives like a dream. This spring she probably get some HP exhaust manifolds and duals and a stock replacement 383/440 Hp 4 barrel cam. I have a posi unit on the way for it right now. Shes a sleeper, for 4000 plus pounds she can get up and go surprising me I know. Smooth as silk at 100mph or I mean so I would assume it would be!
