FOR SALE
Mike FIlz from Winnipeg MB Canada. This is a site for my 1937, chevrolet, Master Delux sedan. This is actually my FIRST special interest car that I bought when I was 19 years old. I built this car with the intent of KEEPING IT FOREVER. Thusly, it got the best of the best!
To start I was directed to a local guy who specialized in street rod chassis for MANY years. After a coffee and some chatting, I had commisioned Darryl Vickey of Heculise Macheine to source me a cherry frame {my original was "sub framed" YUCK} and update it with his custom Mustang 2 front end and parrelel leaf springs for the Versilles, 9" rear axl. Darryl also set up the chassis for a 350/700R4 power combo.
Although the car itself was questionable when bought the major portions were atually in great shape. I seperated the body and frame and found the body, doors and deck lid to be in excellent condition. The body was RUST FREE, and still has it's original PRISTINE floors, and that is saying alot for a 65 year old car. The original front fenders were soft and running boards were shot so i got a whole new front panel group front Supirior Glassworks.
I started the project at a local auto body shop but QUICKLY discovered the difference between collision work and hot rods. The project was quicly removed from there and LONG Time body man and friend Erwin Remple took car of the bodywork.
Long story short, it took almost 5 years to compleat and I can tell you that I learned ALOT from a car like this! Street rods are, I think, the hardest type of car to build due to the fact that everything has to be made to fit. It was a real feat to do a car like this my first time out THANK GOD I had good people to help me!
The car turned out profesional and just KILLER. THE ONLY REASON I'M SELLING IT is the fact I inherited my late father's 35' Ford and I can't realisticly keep them both and I couldn't bear to part with Dad's car.
a shot of the back bussel. Real sexy rear end for a 69 year old gal!!
Front shot. The whole front end {tilt froward hood, grill, grill shell, front fenders, running boards} are all from Supirior Glassworks in the states.
Motor pic. It is a 4 bolt main block, with a mild rebuild and some fancy dress up items. I made removable hood sides to assist in cooling but mostly cause it looks kick ass!

Lookin' good!

A shot of the build up nearing the end! I started on the car in 1999, before I had a digital camara. Thusly, all of my build phots are film, so more build pics are around but no scaner.
The paint on this car is a pearl metalic base/clear from PPG. It is a stock Ford color from 1997, so that makes matching a breeze.

The color is simply outstanding. Bright and vibrent in the sun and Dark and cool in the evening light. The paint was rubbed out to a perfect reflective shine. Note my reflection on the trunk lid.

The entire front sheet metal group {hood, sides, fenders, grill shell, running boards} was replaced with Supirior Glassworks reproductions. The hood sides are removable, and have been fitted and finished, I just choose to leave them off for that killer look. The hood it's self is a one piece tilt forward unit latching with a pair of bear claw latches that can be "popped" with the 6 way Dakota Digital key fob.
The original Hood, hood sides and rear fenders are included and in good shape, as is an extra trunk lid.

Body mods were kept subtal and tastfull. Filled cowl vent, Hagen "tear drop" fuel door in the pass. rear fender, Hagen "frenched" headlights "V" butted windsheild, Eliminated whiper "transmissions". Rock vally polished, smooth, stainless steel bumpers front and rear with no exposed bolts. Grill is stainless steel that is mirror polished.

All the glass is custom cut and SOLAR TINTED, which means the shade is embeded in the glass. Vent window frames were powdercoated black to give the illusion of on piece windows WITHOUT the hacking of the door and risking cracked glass. All windows are, of corse POWER operated using mechanisums from SPECIALTY POWER WINDOWS. No crappy junk yard regulators, thank you.
Engine and trans are the tried, tested and true Chevy 350 and 700R4 combo. Both units are compleatly rebuilt.
The engine is a early 70's truck block with 4 bolt mains built basicly as the General intended, keeping mainence down, reliability WAY up, and the gas pumps at bay. Yes, she is a sweetheart on the fuel. Induction was the only area of modification, reciving a Edlbrock 750cfm Proformer carb and a Edlbrock duel plane "Air Gap" manifold. Exhaust is collected by ceramicoted, block hugger headers from Patriot. Waste heads out to duel 2 1/2" side exit exhaust, right is front of the rear tires, capped off with a pair of oval Megs stainless steel tips.
Trans was torn down and rebuilt, again, as the general intended, save for a stage 2 shft kit.

Wheels front and rear are the veritable Torque thrust 2 from American Racing. their inharent good looks and classic styling cannot be denied. 15"X8" rear and 15"X7" front. I love Cooper Cobras so you'll find 244/60 on the rear and 205/60 on the front.
You will also be able to see the rear disk break in the above picture. Those are stock Ford disks attached to the 78' Lincoln Versilles, 9" rear end. Again, the compleat rear end was rebuilt from disk to disk and fitted with sensable 3:50 gearing
FRONT breaks are 11" mustang2 rotors with GM calipers. STOPS ON A DIME AND GIVES CHANGE.

The radiator is a killer 37-38 chevy spacific unit from Brassworks. 180 degrees all day long with a mechanical fan.
