The shell is pretty good, all the panels are in pretty good shape, and it hasn't had any mayjor hits. The only bad thing is the front hinge pillers, they are pretty rusted out as you can see in the pics below. There is also rust round the RH quarter wheel arch and at the bottem of both quarters, the inners were rusted as well.
I got to work and started on the LH piller >Here is a piece that i made 4 the top of the LH piller

beautiful car.. really.. I'm also doing a resotarion on my 1970 capri.. the car is rusted a LOT!.. tommorow we are starting on the metal replacement...! hehe using 1.5mm thick sheets of metal.. Check out my rustie, and throw in some motivation words cuz this restoration is HUGE! thanks

If u are doing an engine swap go for teh 2 litre overhead cam or v6 2.6 or 2.8 or the V8 stay away from teh 2.4 turbo they are a very soft engine and cant withstand teh abuse of the turbo they will cause u nothing but trouble, i know i had one

Hows it goin man beautiful car, I have a 2 litre 72 i am having trouble finding pannels I need a piece of the right hand floor pan and both rear arches,I am also looking for a dash with teh 6 guage cluster Thanks for yer time and keep up the good work look foreward to seeing the car finnished, Thanks Paul
