This page is about the motor and drive train of my camaro the motor that was in my camaro was a factory v6 173ci crate motor that was replaced november of 2005, june of 2007 the trany started to slip and i got tired of the gut less v6 so i pulled it out and started looking for a v8 i found one at a salvage yard which i was told was a stock 350, i only payed 550 canadian for the motor, once i got home i noticed a 30 stamp on the front of the block so i pulled the heads off and found out that it had been bored 30 thou. it must not have a lot of k on it because the cross hone is still visable and the bearing are like new so i think i lucked out on that motor. then i ordered $1500 of parts off summit for it which included, summit headers, aluminum rad,110gph fuel pump, mallery hei distribitor, 600cfm holly carb, rpm air gap intake, msd plug wires, elite valve covers and air cleaner, stainless steel bolts, timing cover. the trany is a turbo 350, the rear end was stock till november of 2007 when i replaced most of the suspention including, lakewood trailing arms, hotchkis panhard bar, edelbrock torque arm, b&m torque arm mount, new shocks and springs, the rear end is a borg warner 9 bolt rear end with 3.27 gears and posi with new gears, axles, disk brakes and calipers. the front soon will have all new stering parts and struts. the front brakes where done in 2005 when the motor was out for the first time. update march 27, 2008. just finished putting in a new 268h comp cam, comp lifters, a noisy gear driven timing chain, comp push rods, harland sharp roller rockers, two peace timing cover.

update june 23, 09 just had races on the june 21 fastest time in the 1/8 was 9.44, on june 17 i put in a 3000 stall converter, and put on some slicks 26X 10.5 r15 on some black steel areo rims and a new mini starter.

soon to come have a set of procomp aluminum heads comeing. going to order a electric water pump and a  100 amp alternator, and a 16" electric fan, a set of 3.70 gears and a 6al-2 ignition box.
