STOCK SPOILER
Recently removed the resonator from the collector pipe, along with the mufflers, leaving the catz in place for smog compliance. Then added dual 2 1/2" straight pipes under the bumper. It's good and loud.

Lightweight forged pistons from 9.0:1 - 10.5:1 compression
Internally Balanced
With the right combination of heads, valves, cams and intake 300hp is easily attainable on a naturally aspirated motor.
Supercharged applications can make upwards of 400hp!!! Not bad for a Taurus...
last year the transmission took an unexpected turn for worse, during a visit to a car wash, i decided to wash the engine, (with it running, and at a wash with high temp pressure washers) and in doing so cracked the transaxle case causing it to leak fluid on my way home consequently grinding and shreading all the gears and making a plume of smoke behing me. after slowing to a hault, i attempted to make it home, ( one mile or less) in doing so i finished it off making it impossible to move in either drive or reverse. Engine still ran fine but after a nasty break up, the car met its final demise at the unforgiving end of a 12lb sledge hammer. Im currently looking for another SHO and will pay fair price for another 1996 ford tauras SHO, 32 valve v8, preferably black.
