Performance - GM Stage 2 installed. I almost gave up on ever seeing it. Delivery of the kit was more than 2 months. Just when I had decided to cancel the kit from GM and also picked what after market parts to get a call from the dealer was recieved. GM Stage 2 (GMS2) had arrived. I put it on ASAP and got the reflash completed by the dealer. Go to page page 7 for more details on the install.
SPECIAL THANKS GOES TO ROSENORT MOTORS !! - As difficult as it was they were able to obtain the Performance kit from GM PERFORMANCE PARTS. After I installed the parts I brought the car back to them so they may perform the reflash on ECM of the car.

Air box will be customized by opening it up for loud supercharger whine and increased air flow.
Have the K&N drop in filter for now. it is definitely louder and I think there is a performance difference.

GMS2 makes the Cobalt SS S/C a 13 second car!
GM Stage 2 is quicker than the SRT-4 Stage 1. But with exhaust and a waste gate put on the SRT-4 it becomes slightly faster (13.88 vs. 13.96)
Whats next?? well, 2.8" S/C pulley is shipped. HPTuners Software to lean it out a little. Full Custom Mandrel Bend exhaust with High Flow Catalytic, Custom Header, and MagnaFlow Resonator, and muffler all stainless steel. Tires and maybe wheels to get better 60ft. considering P245/45R17 or P225/40r18. rubber and tread width will be the deciding factor. If I can do it with factory wheels I will.
Now the video. This was when my fastest time was 14.2. The Cobalt was faster than two different mustang GT's - an older 5.0L and a newer 4.6L. The 5.0L is white and wasnt a close race at all. the Black mustang 4.6L was a closer race. 1/4 mile better by 0.5 second.
The Cobalt did a terible run against the red nova with white hood. Shifter literally fell apart and you can see I missed second. I gave up a little after that.
Raced a heavily modified Dodge SRT-4. THis car is fast!! I turned out one of my best times and he did a 13.1. Big turbo on that car. It was impressive. He says "its just a NEON"..LOL he is so funny. He later put up boost a bit more and cranked out 12's.
Second video of the cars and a friends heavily modded SRT-4. All bolts on parts though.
Do doubt that a Cobalt could be a fast car? Here is a 2.2L base car. Yeah throw enough money at anything and it will go fast.
