I wanted this car to look and perform like a TSX Type S (if that model came to the US) so I went to the drawing board. Some would say, why don’t you just go with JDM Accord Euro R scheme? No I wanted to be unique. Even though the car is a Honda, something about a big " H “and” Euro R " does not appeal to me.

First the vehicle had to have a factory performance look and not too modified or overdone. This car already has so much potential and has an excellent design that’s why since its production it has made the Car & Driver "10 Best Cars" list. I also paid close attention to the weight of the vehicle. In areas where weight was added in other areas weight was reduced to create a balance. Also being a 05 model (06 weighs 22 lbs more due to added electronics.), manual transmission and minus navigation add to weight savings.

My vehicle weight:

3265 (1/4 tank of gas w/driver /stock wheels/no spare)
3085 (1/4 tank of gas-no driver/ stock wheels/no spare)

Factory vehicle weight:

With Nav: Manual 3246 lbs / Automatic 3334 lbs
W/O Nav: Manual 3235 lbs / Automatic 3323 lbs

I started by upgrading the weak areas: Suspension, Braking and Tires.

OK! Let me say up front that I already love/hate your car because it is pretty much everything I want my new TSX to be BUT, it also is a great example to fallow. Just picked up an '05 TSX with 17k miles, no mods. I have been dyyyyying to start tinkering with it but I still have nightmares about mech. bills for my VW's. NEEDLESS to say, Acura (Honda) is obviously way more reliable and from the looks of it, way more agreeing with modification. Hows your car running now fully modded up? Is this your daily driver? Let me know whats good with TSXs and maybe some tips as to where to start? Im thinking intake, header, ecu flash... NICE WHIP! Peeeace

very nice, everything flows very well one thing though - and i also agree with you partially on this. I didn't want to rebadge to Honda either (Opting for mugen right now but the grill is quite pricey). Why Acura tsx "Type-S" ?
