Well, I have kept all the old info below to give a base idea of what I have done in the past.
This POS car has undergone BIG changes.
I scrapped the turbo motor and after doing tons of research, found a way to up the displacment a bunch.
My car is the first EVER to have installed a non-Isuzu engine in it while still using the stock OEM transmission.
I yanked a HIGH OUTPUT Quad 4 motor from an Olds mobile Achevia SC. Using a custom homemade/Firebird clutch and a few other mods, to get it to all bolt together. The Quad 4 shares the same bell housing bolt pattern as the GEO Storms and related cars.
It required a notched bell housing for the new starter location.
I opted to use a stand alone ECM. Due to my cheap ass nature, I went with a Megasquirt. The system is a DIY kinda project. With much help from a wicked cool guy from Virgina, who is both a Quad master and a MS master, the car runs. Once I learn how to tune this thing in better, I will be on my way with what "should" be a 14.5 second N/A car. I am just guessing, but the car is only 2300 pounds.
Engine produces 180 hp bone stock.
This engine has 112,000k when I pulled it.
Pics shall be added soon. Plus video once it has been proccess.
I have a 1992 Geo Storm. Turbocharged! (HP as posted is an estimate -actual HP with my set up can range from 25-75 HP above stock, I chose to underestimate it rather than lie)
95 HP of Japanese fury. I bought it from a old prison buddy for $400. $6,000 later and 7 engines.
I have a very custom interior.
Power windows (keep in mind that NO Storms ever came with this option).
Green neon lighting in each door and all the dash vents. Custom gauge pod in the center console.
Triple gauge pod in "A" pillar.
Reverse glow gauges.
Alluminum trim in instrument cluster.
Alluminum trim across dash.
Alluminum shifter plates. (removed due to just converting the car from Auto trans to a manual)
Custom fiberglassed cup holder in the center console (No Storm ever came with ANY type of cup holder).
Seats out of a Isuzu Impluse.
Front and rear strut tower braces (home made as these are not mass produced for these cars).
GSI TB with Ported intake.
Custom painted engine block (removed and a greesy old block installed due to burning up my pistons from advancing timing too much).
Greddy grounding kit.
K&N air filter on a stick.
Custom 2.25" exaust w/cherrybomb brand glasspack, old school, straight pipe muffler.
Audio is set up with Pioneer head unit.
2 genric 6.5"s in the doors.
2 400w generic 8" speakers and 2 tweeters in back.
With 2 1200w 12" SPL's in custom enclosure with Audiobahn amp to push them. Removed back seat for the enclosure to be custom made to fit.
Police Interceptor level dome light with clock feature.
Custom paint on the car (looks awful)
GSI spoiler/wing.
15" 5 spoke alloy rims. 195/50r15's.
Front and droped 2 inches with springs. (soon to be coil overs)
Custom painted valve cover.
Custom painted intake manifold.
Dual oil filter relocation kit.
Oil temp gauge, oil pressure gauge, water temp gauge, voltage gauge, air fuel gauge, boost/vacuum gauge.
Hood pins. FUNCTIONAL hood vent. Real men don't put a fake "Lee Press-on Nails" hood scoop on their cars or trucks!
Removed the windwhield wiper fluid squirters and relocated to mount on the wipers themselves. Plugged the old holes.
Limo black tint on all windows except the windshield.
I am forgetting a few more.
