Well I am finally going to post some------------------------------------ pictures of my 928S. I am currently doing a major clean up job on my --------------------------------------- engine (1985, you can just imagine the build-up) and so I will post as I work------------------------------------ on the engine. When my car is ready I will probably open a new account ------------------------------------- and start fresh.

If you want to learn about whats what on the 928 engine make sure to check out page 2 frequently as I should add on to it as I go.

Well let me start by showing some ------------------------------------pictures of my 928 in its current state. Obviously the first picture is the car------------------------------------ with the engine out, second is my car set for rally races (j/k shocks are ------------------------------------ up due to the 1/4 ton engine that is missing in the front).

Next is a picture of my 2200 Watt Audiobahn 12" sub set up in my brothers car (ive told him when I fix my car, sorry but im going to need it back). This sub really kicks, especially since the sub sits at head level when in my car so the kick comes straight to me. The MP3 CD receiver is nice but I want to get something that matches my interior (Maybe Sony Xplod). The Red interior one is mine. I currently dont have my own amp to ------------------------------------ run the sub yet, the only amp I have is some 400 watt one that I used to --------------------------------------- power an 8" Bazooka once. That wont cut it definently. I will probably buy ------------------------------------ an Audiobahn amp to match the sub.

Now for the rest of my interior. The 928 comes factory with Recaro bucket seats. Mine are completely electric. The passenger side is a mess since I needed to send some wires in the fuse compartment out the firewall to remove the engine. The backseat area is a mess too with some of my audio wiring waiting to be set up, as well as some other things around back there.

I'll have more pictures for you when I clean
out the interior.

The next picture is NOT my 928S but it gives you a good idea of the rims I had in mind WHENEVER I get some money to buy them. Im not sure if these are the 18" (which is what I want). I am still keeping my options open though on rim selection. I like these because they are real porsche rims.
(I wish I had a link for you but I don't. All I know is the owners name is Tim.)

This picture below, (also NOT my car) is to show you what I plan on doing until I get some money for new rims. I plan on polishing my rims to a chrome-look finish.

Now for the Tech stuff. From here
on I will show you what I am doing with
my engine out. If you want to learn
about whats what on the 928S
engine read the parts in Italics (slanted)
below the pictures. If not just skip those
parts.
"Come On Down". I start with a picture of the engine in my garage.

(The two toothed pulleys on the top, one left one right, are the -CAMSHAFT PULLEYS-. The small toothed one in the very bottom center is the -CRANKSHAFT PULLEY-. When you hear about HP at the crank, thats where it comes from. You actually have less horspower at the wheels than at the crank obviously. The toothless pulley in the smack center is the -WATER PUMP- which pumps coolant through the engine. The toothed pulley to the bottom right is the -OIL PUMP PULLEY-. The toothless pulley in the center slightly off too the left is an -IDLER PULLEY no actual function except to turn the belt downward without affecting its motion. All these pulleys are connected together by a 7 foot -TIMING BELT- which is a pain to change. I luckily had the engine out)

More to come soon
