SOLD. Regretfully...
hey all, this is my first car that was actually worth mentioning!
its a 1988 toyota supra, equipped with the 7mge engine and a430 automatic transmission. it also has the TEMS suspension system, and i recently bought goodyear tripletread tires for it (great for the snow!).
it also had a built in radar detector, with the sensor behind the grill, and the display right above the steering column. its old school, but it works alright, haha. its a hardtop model as well, i've heard its not as common as the targa or sunroof equipped supras... but i would still rather a targa.
oh well, i needed a better, more reliable daily driver, and this just happened to come along. normally i wouldnt buy another automatic, but i just couldnt pass this up, for $1000, and only minor cosmetic defects, why not? all it really needs to be great looking is a new paint job, but i plan to save my money for a turbo 5 speed targa mkIII. until then, this is going to be strictly transportation ;)
small update... i just finished replacing the headgasket this weekend (well pretty much every gasket in the engine for that matter...). for the most part, everything that wasnt made of metal under the hood has been replaced. =D
check out azsupracentral.com sometime, i go by te72 on there. the guys are great, especially if you are from the phoenix/tucson area! well, take care!

from the passenger side...
from the driver side...
this wasnt me haha! ;)
the view most of the 4 bangers around here will enjoy
i would love to see this view in a video from the back of some other car, all while rolling...
this is what my brother calls the "supra destroyer". while his 454 may have more torque, its still a truck, and still handles like a dog... oh well, he just doesnt get it sometimes.
what i see on my way to work every morning
this is the hotseat, so to speak. really comfortable, if you have never had the pleasure of sitting in one.
they call this a back seat? hahaha... good for golf clubs, small creatures, the big guy who thinks that your car sucks, who just happens to carpool with you...
looks kinda like a cockpit, if you ask me
only 124k on the odometer... on some occasions, that needle-like device has been near the 2 o'clock position
this is what your passenger sees when he/she hyperventilates from being pushed into the seat too hard, and puts their head between their knees
ah, the 7m, in all its non-turbo glory
thats the radar detector i spoke of, hidden just behind the grill
wanna know how to press my buttons? throw an egg at my car. grrr......
these are the same pics i showed the nice officer... im the nicest guy in the world until you mess with my car... then its on!
Got any captain in ya? I don't, I was driving.
