This is my 1991 Beretta GTZ with 282 Getrag 5speed transmisson bolted to a 3.1 liter.
I bought the car from my friend for $60 bucks, that was the impound fee inwhich the car sat due to being in a front end collision that was repairable. I got the car with front end damage. After fixing the damages I drove it. The engine had 130,000 miles on it, went threw 1 headgasket set and had overheated several times. After fixing the engine problems, and several oil changes later I really hammerd on the car. The car orignally had an automatic trans. I swapped out the transmissons from a 1989 beretta gtu doner car that I bought for 400 bucks.
Lets just say after several 100 miles with the 5speed my lowerend said later dude, it threw a rod right through the engine block. Heres picks of the damage.
Bent pushrod was my first discovery during the disassembly
Then the heads came off. Notice the Valve..ouch
Then the piston.
Off comes the oil pan.....all the debris you see in the pan was what was there when I first removed the oil pan.
