My Toy!!!
1965 MERCURY [Not Ford] Econoline P/U. Built in Canada < Merc trucks were never built in USA .
# 310 of only 1291 built in 65
I saved all original power train , but it now has Shelby 302/ GT -40 Aluminum heads ,gear driven Crane cam, roller rockers, 600 holley, Macs equal length BIG tube headers { those were a challenge !!!} Mallory igniton, C-6/ mod, 9" rear.
Flame thrower exhaust, & HUGE traction issues !!!
Fun toy with LITTLE practicality, but WHO CARES!!!!
It doesnt get too many miles /year, nor too many miles / gallon either

What's it like to drive this truck on our crappy roads and in our cold Manitoba winter? I have a 67 econoline van that is a project, I'm considering to drive it daily, but before I spend $$$$ on it, mine concern is that the short wheel base will cause an uncomfortable 'bumpy' ride like in a jeep. Traction and heat is another concern in the winter..what's it like?
