CHEVY TAHOE!!!!

thinkinblue613's 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe

I got a new Chevy Tahoe LS for Christmas and I'm really wondering what I should do first and what I'll be saving up for. I need suggestions and ideas from you guys out there who know about fixing up Tahoes.

I already got a billet grill from the Chevy dealer to sweeten the deal.

First, I don't want to go over the top with fixing it up... Neon lights, dropping it.. Not me. Only things that are useful, then after that I can mess around.

Right now I'm looking to add (in order):

Headunit (Pioneer AVIC-D1) *should I wait for the AVIC-D2 or AVIC-Z1?* which are coming out this year. I really want one that will allow me to use navigation, iPod and bluetooth technology.

Subs and speakers, I don't know which ones but I want the ones that can hide or not take space in the back since I need the space for 3rd row and luggage.

Lights, the front lights and rear lights should be changed and made different. I'm not sure if I should smoke em or get euro style lights.

Rims, below, I got the 20" chrome rims just for now. BUT I'm looking to get that upgraded to some 22" rims.

Muffler, at least to make it look different than the factory muffler. I don't want to make it loud and annoying since I live in a quiet neighborhood.

DVD/video game system in the back, for the passengers... :P

Nice tahoe. Looking good. If your thinking about getting that pioneer piece. Its a nice headunit. I had one. With most of the other units you dont have the navi on it. Has to come as a seperate piece, which you have to pay more for. I have a pioneer avic N2 if you like those. Not the double din, but its a really nice piece too. Let me know, and keep up that good work on the hoe. BEE EZ

Hey, thanks for the props! I think you should start off with the performance parts, Volant makes the best intake for our trucks, Gibson Extreme duals cat back system work really well (not loud unless you get on it)& an Air Raid throttle body spacer (gives you a nice turbo like whistle)are a great combo for 5+ MPG save & about 40 more HP's you'll feel a huge difference. The lights I got from E-Bay(just look up 05 Tahoe), they also have a billet grille that eliminates the Chevy symbol for about $118& those rims look great, try dropping it about 2-3 inches & the rims will fill in the wheel well nicely without sacrificing ride quality & torque that you will lose with bigger rims. If you want a good power programmer try checking out the hypertech hyperpak, it's considerably more expensive than a regular programmer but you get a whole lot more. If you have more ??? let me know...
