Here are some pics of the subframe connectors I built. The main tube is 1 1/4" boxed with 3/16" walls.
They can be either welded or bolted in place and the floor does not need to be cut. They allow plenty of room for exhaust pipes, very slight line relocation, and hangs less than 1" below the pinchweld seem.
My main concern was the floor and most of the connectors used on Vega's ran through the floor.
I just couldn't bring myself to cut a floor in this good'a shape. So this is what I came up with thanks to alot of suggestions from the guys on v8monza.com.

The area circled in yellow is where I had to do alittle grinding to the lip on the floor support so the connector outrigger would seat properly.
Circled in red is where I had to square off the corner of the rocker so the connector would sit more flush to the floor. An air chisel with a dull/unsharpened flat tip made short work of this task without cutting into the floor.

man, i really like the way u made those connectors, look way bettered enginered than any of the ( after seeing yours) junky 2point mounted ones avalible atermarket... hope u wont mind if i steal the concept when the time comes. ur going to have a great looing car when all is said and done... good luck with the rest of you build

hey check my vega out...it doesnt run yet.... no engine, transmission, or drive shaft..or a good paint job. but by march i should have it running by march...
