This is my 74 Vega Kammback Wagon. When I bought it in November 2005, it already had the 350ci., Holley 750 4bbl,Edelbrock Torker intake, Crane street/strip cam and lifters, 350T.H.trans., Hurst Quarter stick shifter and 411 gears in the rear. It came with everything i'll need to convert the front end to S-10 5 lug disc brakes. What it needed was an alternator and brackets, top and bottem rad.hoses, belt, header flanges welded and exhaust installed. Pretty much, that was all it needed to put'er right back on the street.
My plans are to install subframe connecters, a 12 point roll cage with swing out bars, crossmember, ladder bars and coil-over shocks. As for the engine, well, i haven't really driven it yet(except for on and off the trailer when purchased) so i'll hold off on buildin'er up until I get a chance to see how it feels. The only rust i've found is a little on the dash at the bottem of the windshield. With the exception of a few wal-mart parking lot dings down the sides, and a small dent in the corner of the tailgate, the body and floor are in great shape.
Once the body work is done, she'll be headin' to the paint shop in primer and coming out in bright Lemon-ice and black.
Check back for progress pics.

And last, but not least, I've gotta say thanx to my buddy LJ. Without him, I wouldn't have either one of these cars. The man drove from Maryland to Michigan and back for the 72GT, and to New York and back for the 74wagon. Thanx bro.

Notice the 72 GT in the background? Thats next. That one's gettin' a big block.
Dont mind me, just cleanin' up the windshield edge. Gettin' it ready for duraglass.
Heres a little better view of whats going on in here.
Just need a couple of things to finish off this badboy and it'll be ready.
Look ma, no rust. Couldn't beleave it when I saw it.
Gotta do a little clean up work on the front mounts, but nothing major.

No rust here either. Amazing, isnt it.
Dash pad is PERFECT! It's just not in the picture. It's in my house in a safe place.
Ahhh, that aint so bad.
This is the worst spot on the car. THATS IT!!
K member was off when I got it. Atleast I have it.
Somebody made this oil pan. Notice the steering arm is touching the pan. Time to call SUMMIT and order a new pan.

What? Doesn't everybody decorate their drag slicks for christmas?
