The magnets on the tailgate are "Rebuild New Orleans" by Abita Brewing Co. The colors are the official colors of Mardi Gras, the fleur de lis is the symbol of the Big Easy and the logo of my hapless but beloved New Orleans Saints. I am a native New Orleanian. Not an expensive mod but a meaningful one to me.
But first, a tribute to my first truck. Below is my beautiful, fire engine red 1981 Toyota 4x4 pickup, which I owned from 1984 to 1986, whence it was stolen, stripped and totaled. It had a 3 inch lift and 36 inch mudders that came on it. First the truck was stolen for the tires. Once I had street tires, it was then stolen again and stripped (Boston was the car theft capital at the time).
