Welcome to my project gtr .... In December of 2005 my 94 white MX-3 Rs was totalled (still driveable but that is about it) so on January 21st of 2006 I bought a 1993 MX-3 GS. Please comment after looking over any advice is welcome or just let me know what you think :)

Update 11/10/08: The AWD system is completely bolted on, the Bp engine is in place, as is the fuel cell. The only fabricating left are the front and rear engine mounts (which are nearly done) and the radiator brakets. Once those are done the only thing left is the wiring and running all of the hoses. The Car is being trailored to MI this weekend or next so that I can start work on the wiring. I am installing an AEM Engine Management System, and a Windows Based Carputer that will be used to monitor and tune the AEM EMS and play music and videos on the 7" touch screen

Update June 11 2007: Wow I don't update this enough :) The engine is DONE!!! The engine bay has been cleaned / sway bar installed / custom steering rack installed / subframe painted and installed. Engine should be installed in about 2 weeks then the wiring begins. New pics added today in swap progress and engine sections

Update Jan 12 2007: The Car is nearing completion The AWD rear subframe is attached to custom frame rails we built and the engine is awaiting only 2 parts before it is completed look for new pics in the engine section and Swap page

Update May 26: Well after loosing about 4 - 6 weeks of work on the car to the Illness known as Mono i'm back on track and working on the car again. I've located several more needed parts and now waiting to get them shipped. Originally end of june was the planned date for having the car on the road but it is now looking to be closer to Mid August maybe sooner

Update April 4 2007: As of last weekend the engine is complete minus three bolts that are being ordered. The subframes will be prepped and painted over the next two weeks then the engine will be installed.

Update April 11 2007: The front subframe has been sandblasted and the control arms will be sandblasted friday then all of the front subfram pieces will be painted with a special paint (supposedly very strong) to protect from rust. I'm leaving for CA for two weeks for work but when I return we will begin putting the engine in the car!!!!!

Here is the new MX-3 being trailered to its new home

Over the next few months it will be getting a built Bp 1.8L I4 engine to replace the v6 and will go from FWD to hopefully AWD
I have begun purchasing parts and the engine has been slowly getting worked on for the last month or two. I will be posting progress soon. Please be patient, I will update as i go and more pics and info will be up this weekend after I go work on the car a little more
