This is my 1988 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham which now has a 307 VIN 9!! because the cam swap has been completed.
alright, so here is the story.

i was 15 and a 1/2 years old and my grandfather calls and tells me to look at the cars on the toledo police website. i see two cars i like, a late 70's trans am, and the 1988 brougham. when he goes to the auction, he checks out the cars and finds that the trans am has the right rear side smashed in, so that was out.

he bid on the cadillac and won for something like $1400. then he proceeded to call my parents and tell them that they needed to come and pick up their new car. lol. i love my grandpa!!!

the car had to be towed from the auction lot because of a dead battery, so we didnt even know if the car ran. got it to my grandpas shop, and with a charged battery, a couple pumps of the gas, and two turns, the car started right up. albeit a bit rough and some black smoke coming from the exhaust. some running fixed this right up, and a few WOT runs to 45 helped clear up the black smoke.

plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter and a new level ride sensor put the car in great shape.

now that i have completed the cam swap, i would like to get a new vinyl top and put in a sunroof, along with a new paint job. the sunroof is last on the list though, so that may not happen.

Found out recently that this car actually only has 94,xxx miles on it, and with the 307 is able to pull some decent burnouts!! 0-60 time of about 10-11 seconds before the cam swap. much of the improved time came from a carb rebuild and slightly advanced timing. right now the car is in storage because i am off at college. but whenever i have a break and during the summer, this car goes out for sunday cruises, and i am starting to take it to car shows. when i go to the shows, everyone is always looking around to see what car has a nice v8 sound to it. and then they realize its my cadillac because i did a muffler delete. the look on their faces is great.
