Something that the DeLorean should have had from the factory is a 3rd brakelight. Being so low to the ground, I like to have the people driving insanely large SUVs know that I am coming to a stop.
While I originally experimented with an LED 3rd brakelight, I decided that it really didn't 'fit' with the design of the car. I later opted to use a third brakelight from a 1986 Corvette. I found the brakelight online and painted it with a black paint that matched the color of my louvres. I ended up drilling a few small holes in the top louvre to mount it, and I ran the wiring up the hollow channel in the rear quarterpanel.

As you can see, the design blends in very well with the car, and people who are unfamiliar with the DeLorean are surprised when I tell them it is not an original part. Note the new custom built stainless exhaust on the car...details to come in a future site update.
