For those of you who are familiar with the DeLorean cooling system, you are aware that the plastic coolant bottle isn't the ideal container to have 160 degree coolant constantly pouring in. Over time, the bottle turns a yellowish/brown color, develops cracks, and occassionally splits right down the middle loosing coolant and overheating the engine. I decided to replace mine with a stainless steel bottle and brackets before my bottle deteriorated too much. That way I have a usable original bottle if I ever want to go back to stock. Pictures of the replacement are below:
Here is what the engine looked like with the stock plastic bottle:

Here is the new bottle, which is significantly heavier than the original:

Once installed with the new stainless steel brackets, the engine compartment looked a lot nicer:

And one more shot of the ugly, plastic bottle off of the car. The bottle looked much worse than I thought it was once I had it off the car. Notice how melted and warped the top left prong is. I feel much better knowing I have a more reliable part back there now.
