This is my pride and joy, I bought her with only 78,000 miles, the car belonged to a little old lady..........no really! The first thing I did to the car was to cover those ugly red moldings up with some silver and black striping.
Heres a shot of the Lund hood scoop I installed, this is an inexpensive mod (80 dollars) that anyone can do themselves, the scoop just sticks on with double sided tape.
I added the tail, it came from a late model Ford Probe, for a mere $12 from the local junk yard.
These are some shots of the interior, nothing fancy, but its very clean, practically like brand new.
This is the first sound system that I installed, 2 Visonik 10" woofers with Visonik 600 watt amp. Not a bad sounding setup for the money, around $200 total cost. The box even came with neon lighted rings to go around the speakers. I soon found that I needed to go bigger and bought a set of 12's and added a second amp, then put it all in the trunk. Its not pretty, but it thumps.
This is the other heart of the car, just the factory stock 2.0 ltr. engine, not too good for racing, but great on gas, around 35mpg.
I know the hubcaps looked cheesey, but thats all in the past. I found a brand new set of 15" Powdercoated wheels for a 2003 Sunfire from good old Ebay for a mere 115 dollars.
I found this wheel in the junkyard for $10. After a little sanding and paint it turned out to be a great addition to the bird.
I had a bit of a fender bender, here are some pics of the repairs I did myself.
I added a set of clear corner lenses.
I installed a z-24 hood, and re routed the air intake to make the scoops functional. Also added some new wheels. New paint job will happen soon, maybe bronze with black hood stripes.
Current speakers and amps-still need to carpet the box and properly mount the amps. Any ideas?
2003 Sunfire wheels.
Squeeky clean interior for a car thats almost 14years old.
I cut some plastic mirror material and glued it in the front and rear emblems.
The coolest head unit I've seen for the price. This thing reads usb memory sticks and also has a slot under the face for S D cards(like the ones used in digital cameras). Its also capable of recording to the cards and sticks from radio or CD.
Getting ready to paint the car soon. I haven't decided on a color yet but I'm considering "chevy cobalt orange".
