Welcome,
Update: 15/04/06 Well the Soarer was involved in a 3 car collision a couple months back. Ulitmatly the electronic suspension made is uneconomical to repair and it was consequently written off. I now drive a VT S-pack which you can check out if you like Raven Mica VT S-Pack
My name is Robert and here is my car, a 1992 Toyota Soarer. It has the 1JZ 2.5 litre straight six twin turbo engine. It's fantastic going from the Mazda which had 123hp to a car with over 282hp. This car is fast, there is no doubting that, but it is as a cruiser that it really shines. The ride is so smooth. There are no harsh noises from suspension, and everything is of such fine quality - and this is from a car over 10 years old! When the traction control is turned off and the TEMS suspesion is electronically adjusted, it turns into a warrior. Easily the best car I have been in.
Originally I was looking at getting a 300ZX TT but I believe they havn't aged particulary well, and the Soarer is just a perfect blend of performance and luxery. I had to wait a very long time to get this car as most of the ones I looked at were in damn horrible conidition but finally after months and months of searching I finally found my baby. I havn't done much to it as funds simply won't allow it. I am 18, at univeristy doing a double degree in petroleum and civil engineering and I work nightfill at a supermarket. Nevertheless this car gets only the best treatment.
Current Modifications include:
- Cold air intake with K&N air filter
- Panasonic CQ-C5400W head-unit
- 18" Vault chrome rims
- 235/40/18 Nankang tyres
- Alarm system with turbo timer
- Red calipers
- Rocker cover and various bits in engine bay powdercoated red
It has 162000kms with turbos from a 40000km unit installed 5000km ago. I didn't drive it around for a couple of weeks after I bought it as I wanted it to be running as smooth as possible. I have done the following and now everything is as good as it ever will be:
- Oil (Mobil 1 10W-30 Full Syn and costs like liquid gold)
- Oil Filter
- Trans fluid power flush
- Coolant Flush
- Diff fluid change
- Remachined front rotors and new pads
- New PCV valve and grommet
- Replaced rocker cover gasket
- New high and low pressure power steering hoses.
Hope you enjoy these pics and please remember to leave a comment or rate the car. Cheers.

When changing the PCV valve the rubber grommet which the valve sits in broke into a few pieces due to hardening so the rocker cover needed to come off to get the pieces out. Heres a few pics of the job.

Interior:
Panasonic CQ-C5400W head-unit which has just been installed. It was a big job to do as the speaker wires were in the boot with the factory amp, so I had to run speaker wires to the front of the car. Took a long time and the rear seats needed to be removed. After that I had a big hole left in the console as the original CD player was 2.5 DIN. I bought a 1.5 DIN from Mazda and with a bit of modification it fitted quite well.
