APRIL 2009 - -
WOW, here we are another year, the Charger is now 3yrs old and time for a new look !!!
I have been on the LX forums, Charger Forums etc and been advised that since its a Charger and not a 300 that the Chrome needs to go. Well after serious consideration and LOTS of looking around to see whats out there, I decided to go for the make over. Here are the first shots of the new looks - I really have to give a shout to Les Schwab (Nathan and David especially) on NW Blvd in Spokane for hooking me up when I changed out my winter wheels - -
I decided to go with 20in FOOSE "Nitrous" rims (saved some money since I already had 20in Toyo Proxes tires and I wasnt ready to dump off the 1000 worth of tires to increase 2 inches) ..... well when they did the wheels, they were nice enough to paint my brake calipers RED for me as well as the lug nuts ..... to continue with the theme, I have Spokane Sunscreen in the process of remaking the gray CHARGER vinyl on the hood and the rear quarter panels only they will be in BLACK and the CHARGER word instead of being cut out to show the color of the car, I am going to put a RED word in the spot. Run a stripe all the way down the car in BLACK with a 1in red line up the center.
As you can see there are still some chrome pieces on the car and will be removing them slowly but surely, the door handles will stay color coded since they are blue anyway, but the B Pillars will likely get recovered in either CF or Black and I am going to get the mirrors painted body color.
LET ME KNOW YOUR COMMENTS!! I hope to have it done by MAY 16th, which is my first big event, I am driving it in the Spokane Armed Forces Lilac Parade the night of the 16th ., to be able to utilize my lights and strobes too! I replaced the fog light housings with new ones and the NOKYA lights really show out blue now .... (they were a little too high temped for the original housings and bubbled em up and faded em out burnt, so we shall see how long they last) .... a little pissed that SNOWS AUTO dont carry the 9006XS and 9005XS bulbs (the straight ended ones, not the L shaped ones) for the regular headlights and high beams and they want me to pay the original $55 a piece AND another $20 for shipping to order them in ..... so I am still looking around for a cheaper price, but the blue look is perfect to match up with the fogs. Halo's are coming and more tweaks to cum!! ENJOY!
Well here are some new shots of the Charger as of October 08 - - I added a few chrome pieces and some really great rear spoilers going down the rear window that I happened across on ebaymotors ... they cost me 180 bucks to buy and ship, but another 300 bucks to get em painted and fitted and voila! I have gotten a ton of comments about how the ride looks and 80% good ...... some dont appreciate the chrome and thats fine, they arent paying the car payment! hahaha
Hope you like the new shots!! - See ya soon, drop me a note!!
SEPTEMBER 2007 - UPDATE - Here I am at 23K miles now and all is well with the Charger. I recently added stuff that I can't show good pictures of - like my Sequential rear tail lights ( Love those things, I get comments all the time where I got them - you can go here to find them - www.webelectricproducts.com/products.html - - (my car is featured on their page!)- they work universally for cars with more than one rear tail light, mostly for Mustangs but work awesome for the Chargers too) Getting amazing comments lately - Rate it and drop me a note and let me know what you think - the pics don't do it justice really - I need a better camera - ENJOY - USE THE EXPAND FEATURE TO see the pictures best - Thanks!
Page 3 is actually the start page ... The page you are on now has the most recent info on it ....... After switching out the wheels to 20 inch Devino "Stamina's", I was able to get the Eibach Pro Kit installed which dropped the car 1.7in in the front and 1.9in in the rear ... making the car have a much nicer ride and aggressive stance. Stopping distance is shorter and smoother without the body dip, and am really getting a lot of great comments. It doesn't look like a DONK car and doesn't drive like a 4x4 anymore. The "prism" pin striping really makes the car look awesome in the sun and really adds to the car nicely without looking "overdone". The pictures don't really do it justice but here is a great shot of it - - -
My buddy Mike from Diamonds Car Club adding the finishing touches to getting the grill back on the car.
I got the new Daytona Grill installed and I dont know if you can tell by the pics, but the left is with the old, and the right is with the new - - -
I have added the Plasma Glow Blue High and Low Beams and it has the police strobe and high beam wig wag package I use in parades with the US Navy Sea Cadets.
Until next time - PEACE !
