Here is my 2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28. Bought it new in November of 2001 by trading in a 98 Camaro. New wheels and tires! Latest update 8/12- see next page for more! <<<I decided to buy the 2002 after they announced that was the last year for the Camaro. My 98 was a trouble free fun car so I decided to try my luck at the Z-28- the last of it's kind... My new 2002 Camaro Z28 was like driving my 98 Camaro (was very familiar to be driving the same type of car) after it had went through the Barry Bonds steroid program. The increase in power and handling over the V-6 was amazing, and I love the T-tops in the summer. It's been an almost trouble free car ever since (it's now August '12 ) and with 52,000 miles on it I've been taking good care of it. This 2002 Camaro Z-28 is a fully loaded optioned out car- except for the power antenna,CD 6 disc changer in the trunk, and chrome wheels, it's got every other option! It's got the T-tops, ebony leather interior, power seats, power mirrors, power windows, Monsoon 500 watt 6 speaker stereo, cruise control, traction control, 4 channel ABS, Torsen-Thextal posi traction rear axle (it's a gear type), LS1 5.7 liter V-8, 6 speed manual transmission, Z-28 option package. If I left anything out (whew) I will try to get it in later- anyway you get the idea! This is not a stripper hardtop like my 1998 Camaro was- it's the exact opposite. I liked to think of it as a nite and day difference between the 2 cars, both Camaros but at opposite ends of the spectrum. It's been a fun 15 years of Camaro ownership. Some of these are photos I took in the infield of the Gateway Raceways race course during the Hot Rod Power Tour. You can see the big grandstands and if you look close you will see the gateway Arch in the background in one of the pics. That was a fun event-I hope they come to St. Louis again soon. As you can see it's a "Navy Blue" (factory color's name) that is spectacular in the sun or the dark of night.
