The highly modified PeteK 700R4 fit like a glove.
UPDATE 10/26/06 -- In an effort to delay the 2-4 shifts, the governor was blueprinted and modified to flash around 5800 RPM. This dialed in the tranny. On a hard launch, she will light up the tires well into third gear with ultra firm shifts.

To help clean up the car, the aluminum torque tube was red anodized.

To help the new transmission cool, she was plumbed to the Griffin aluminum radiator. We also choose to run an additional volume aluminum pan.

It took a ton of modification to allow the B&M QuickSilver shifter to fit in the stock console.

As you can see from the above photos, the B&M shifter rode high in the console, so of course, additional modification was neccessary.

3 1/2 inches was removed from the shifter to bring it down to a more comfortable level. Compare the above four photos and see where the top of the shift knob was in relation to the stereo.

A cobalt blue leather boot will be used to to cover the shifter. The blue matches the seats. For now the boot was left large; once we stretch it out a little, it will be trimmed to a custom fit.
