1983 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28
My car originally came with the Crossfire Injection LU5 engine, making 160 horsepower and 240 pound feet of torque, backed by the wonderful 700R4 transmission.
It still has that wonderful transmission, but the car has gone through a few engines in it's course of life. I have not swapped any engines into it, but in the future I do plan on a bored and stroked 350, backed by a T-56 and probably some 3.73:1 gears. I'm not looking to make it a drag car, I want something fun and practical to drive.
Right now as the car sits, it is not very impressive. It has a carbeurated 305. It has:
Edelbrock 600cfm Performer Series Carbeurator
Holley Street Dominator Intake
Mild camshaft (I do not know the specifications.)
Hedmann Headers
Hooker 3" cat-back exhaust, with no catalytic converters.
And it has a shift kit in the transmission.
The car is my daily driver for now, and with all of the modifications that it has, it makes it a very fun daily driver, although I do crave alot more power, gas prices are telling me no.
I bought this car on December 31, 2005. It has not failed me once, I have had to do minor work to it, but that is to be expected.
Anyways, enough with all of my mindless rabble, here are some pictures.
These are a few pictures of the day I got the car:
The picture on the left is the last owner giving the car one last goodbye, and the other is of me, and the last owner.
These are a few pictures of the day after getting the car:
These next pictures are of the cars first wash and wax, since I bought it.
I have done minor work to the car since all of these pictures have been taken, quite some time ago. The first change I made to it appearance wise, was new tires. The car originally had 215/65R15's all around. Two of them needed replaced, but since I get tires at cost, I did all four. I put Super Star Radial GT HR 215/60R15's on the front, and I put Super Star Radial GT SR 245/60R15's on the back. They provided a much better stance, and significantly better traction.
