This is our 1959 Impala Sport Coupe Restoration Project. Enjoy!
1. This car is not ours; we believe it once belonged to the Box's in Nebraska. It's our inspiration for this project. This car is Aspen Green and Classic Cream.

2. This is what she looked like shortly after we bought her. She was a nice driver and won her share of awards but she was ready to be restored. So.....

3. This is a shot of our car before we started taking the trim and interior apart. This was taken in October 2005. We had removed the doghouse and drive train starting in December 2004 (sorry no pictures).

4. These shots were taken shortly after the car was delivered to the body shop.
5. Here she is in DP. By this time Tim & Jim had found pin holes in the rear pinch well and a dime-sized hole in front of the drivers side wheel well. The passenger door had been hit and was full of 'mud'. We drove all the way to Omaha NB to get a good one. Everything else was repaired.
6. By now they've got the body off the frame and they're starting to block her out. She's already very straight.
7. The frame is done now. There were absolutely no pits on this frame. It looks brand new. No; we didn't over-restore it. It's still got all the welding spatter on it. They got creative to help it dry without marks.

8. Check out the trunk. This has probably been the biggest challenge for Tim & Jim. They stripped the coating off the inside of the quarters and had this really hard substance to literally grind off the floor before they could DP it. Everything they do is 'top drawer'.
9. And the floor pan (inside and out).
