This is my 1979 Trans Am 6.6L 403 i recieved as an engagement present a few years ago from my wife. Pretty cool way to sweeten the deal, huh?

It was someone elses project to begin with that I took over appearently. On top of everything else that needs done, you have to fix someone elses mistakes.
The 403 the fisrt time i popped the hood. I really wasn't wanting to tear that thing apart, but with winter comin up, I figured that I had to know what shape this motor was in.
This is my buddy who helped pull the motor and tranny that day. As you can tell, it just wasn't the same as the shaker.
The 403 when I finally closed the hood. It seems the 403 was bored .060 over. I honed it, dipped everything, did the whole nine yards, rings, bearings, seals, etc. The Quadrajet was redone completely, but I still don't like it.
The tranny was redone by an old-school guy for $50, which was cool and sports a shift kit.
The cam and crank are stock but, that eventually will be subject to change.
The spark is thrown by an Accel Super Coil, cap and ignition module. This thing gets better gas mileage than my four cylinder Jeep!
This is a pic of my freinds Camaro, right after I got the car. He went with my wife to check it out and help sneak it home to surprise me. They got me.
