Scrapped the the 84 (needed way to much work,STILL). Found a good deal on an 89 and have been loving it since. Although the 89 had been drive'n till the front wheel had fallen off(then hit a ditch). I've replaced front bearings, rotors and universal's just to get it moving. It has a 2.9L V6 w/5 speed manual. The specialty item's I got with it are headers, lund visor, power chip and push bar. So far I've replaced both front fender's, bumper, grill and added roll bars(and lights of course). I'm still in the process of bodywork I just through a coat of red paint on it till I get through the winter.Anyway, the truck has been amazing in the mud and snow.I have a blast everytime I 4X4. Thank's for reading take care.

In the future I plan to replace my shocks to rancho's, give it a 3-4" body lift and buy bigger tires(possibly 31's)

We didn't have to do anything to reiforce the front end the 5 liter only weighs 50 pounds more than the stock 3 liter. As for the grill I've had it for a while and I don't keep great records but I think it is made by Stillen.

your truck is my dream, very nice machine. I definitely will put day picks up(soon). Regarding the 84, parts were sold within a month. The wrecker's got a block, frame and a shell.
thank's
