MY INSPIRATION CAR !!!

MrFairmontFutura's 1980 Ford Futura

MrFairmontFutura's 1980 Ford Futura

Rust free western car with 94,000 original miles. All chrome to be removed. Currently I6 being converted to 351 with C6 tranny.
MrFairmontFutura's 1980 Ford Futura Need to make a decision on the type of K-member to use. Rear end will be an 8.8 hopefully with disk brakes. 11in disk brakes on front. I will want to do something with the steering but that will take some research on my part. Any and all input would be appreciated.

I have a Fairmont with a 351HO and C4 trans, Ford Motorsport 351 shorties for Mustang. I would recommend if you want to use a C6 trans try to locate a 302 C6 from a van, kinda hard to find. If you use a full size C6 will have fitting problems and linkage problems and drive shaft problems and who knows what else. I say stick with the C4 its lighter and they are all over the place.

Your not NUTS at all!! The Farmont Futura is an awesome car.It can be made to be an awesome midnight sleeper. In case your not aware everything from an 85-93 Mustang 5.0L will bolt right on to that car with maybe minor and I mean minor modifications. If you look around for a crashed or abandoned donor Mustang with the 5litre package you can take from it the whole drivetrain back including crossmember complete front suspension,Engine, transmission, rear end differential exhuast etc... Why do you think I came across your page? I too have the Hots for a futura im looking to do something diffrent then the Mustang I currently own 2 and 85 convertible and an 89 convertible both 5.0's Ive owned Mustangs and Fords since 82. Remember just about anything that bolts onto an 85-93 Mustang will be able to be a direct bolt on or slightly modified to fit and theres alot of performance parts out their. e-mail when you need advice. ps.. the futura is about 1000 pounds lighter than a mustang completely built with the Mustangs drivetrain. Lighter means faster.. see what I mean about a sleeper !!! :) heres my online business http://www.partsforstangs.com call me if you need advice or parts. best of luck
